3. Public content, direct messages, and visibility

3.1 Public content

Unless you set otherwise, your username, display name, profile picture, bio, public posts, comments, reposts, likes, and following and follower lists are public by default and can be viewed by anyone, including unregistered users, search engines, and third-party applications. Once public content has been copied, reposted, or screenshotted by others, or indexed by search engines, we cannot guarantee that these copies will be completely removed even if you later delete it. Please consider carefully before posting.

3.2 Privacy settings

Through your account settings, you may choose to make your account private, restrict who can comment or send you direct messages, and manage the visibility of your content. Content set as private or limited in scope is visible only to users you authorize, but authorized users may still copy or repost that content, and we cannot control their behavior.

3.3 Direct messages and group messages

  • Direct messages are transmitted only between the sender and the designated recipient (or group members), and we will not use the content of direct messages to show you targeted advertising.
  • We use TLS 1.3 to encrypt direct message data in transit, and use AES-256 encryption for stored direct messages.
  • Exceptions: In the following circumstances, we or persons authorized by us may access, review, or disclose the content of direct messages: (a) you or the other party reported the message; (b) our automated systems or human review detect a suspected violation of the Terms and Conditions or the law (such as CSAM, threats, scams, or malware); (c) to investigate security incidents, fraud, or abuse; (d) to comply with applicable law, court orders, subpoenas, or other valid legal process; (e) to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or the public; (f) with your explicit consent.
  • Recipients of direct messages may copy, repost, or screenshot your messages, or provide them to third parties or law enforcement. We cannot control the behavior of recipients.
  • When you delete a direct message, it is removed only from your own account view and is not automatically deleted from the recipient’s account.

3.4 Content posted by others that involves you

Other users may mention, tag, or display you in their content. If you believe such content violates your privacy, contains your sensitive personal information, or constitutes harassment, you may submit a complaint to us through the Platform’s reporting feature or at privacy@skyforttech.top, and we will review and handle it in accordance with the Terms and Conditions and applicable law.

4. When and with whom do we share personal information?

We may share information with specific third parties in the following situations:

  • Suppliers and service providers: We share with advertising networks, cloud computing platforms, data analysis tools, AI platforms, storage and content delivery services, payment processors (such as Stripe), email and SMS service providers, content moderation and anti-spam tools, testing tools, and website and application hosting providers, to support service delivery.
  • Business transfers: Shared during company mergers, asset sales, financing, or acquisitions.
  • Affiliates: Shared with parent companies, subsidiaries, or jointly controlled entities, which must comply with this policy.
  • Business partners: Shared with partners to provide products, features, or promotions.
  • Other users and the public: Information you share in public areas (such as public posts, comments, and profiles) can be viewed by everyone; direct messages you send will be presented to the recipients.
  • Third-party applications and developers: If the Platform provides APIs or third-party login, when you authorize a third-party application to access your account, we will share data within the scope of your authorization. You may revoke authorization at any time in your account settings.
  • Government or regulatory agencies: We disclose necessary information in accordance with laws, court orders, or subpoenas (such as for national security or law enforcement needs), ensuring that only the minimum necessary data is disclosed. Where the law permits, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users. For communications content such as direct messages, we will review the relevant requests in accordance with applicable law, including the U.S. Stored Communications Act.
  • Protection of rights and safety: Shared to enforce the Terms and Conditions, investigate violations, prevent fraud and security threats, and protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or the public.
  • Reporting to NCMEC: If we discover suspected child sexual exploitation material, we will report it to the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in accordance with U.S. federal law, and will preserve the relevant data.

We will require all third parties to comply with data protection agreements to protect your information.

5. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?

We use cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, software development kits (SDKs), local storage, and other similar technologies to collect information for:

  • Maintaining service security (such as preventing fraud and abuse);
  • Saving user preferences (such as language settings and login status);
  • Analyzing usage behavior to optimize features;
  • Supporting third-party advertising (such as personalized ads).

Third parties (such as Google Analytics) may use tracking technologies for analysis or advertising. To opt out of Google Analytics, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or http://optout.networkadvertising.org/. For details, see the Cookies Policy. In restricted regions (such as China and Russia), we may use local compliant tools instead of Google Analytics.

6. Advertising, personalization, and recommendations

  • Content recommendations: We use algorithms to rank and recommend posts, topics, and accounts to you based on your follow relationships, interaction behavior, language used, and device information. You can adjust or reset your recommendation preferences through settings.
  • Advertising: The Platform may display advertisements or sponsored content. We and our advertising partners may infer your interests and serve personalized ads based on your public activity, interaction behavior, device and advertising identifiers, approximate location, and data obtained from third parties.
  • Direct messages are not used for advertising: We will not use the content of direct messages or group messages to serve targeted advertising.
  • Minor users: We will not show behavior-profile-based personalized advertising to users known to be under 18 years of age.
  • Your choices: You can turn off personalized advertising in settings; you can also exercise your right to opt out as described in Section 10 and Section 11. After you turn off personalized advertising, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant.
  • Advertiser and creator features: If you use business accounts, promotion, or tipping features, we may provide you with aggregated audience statistics, but we will not disclose personally identifiable information of other users to you.

7. How long do we retain information?

Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, we retain your personal information only for the time necessary to achieve the purposes specified in this policy. None of the purposes in this policy will require us to retain your personal information for more than 12 months after the termination of your account (except as otherwise provided in this Section).

  • While your account is active: We retain your account information, content, and interaction records for as long as your account is active.
  • After you delete content or your account: After you delete a post, comment, or your account, we will remove it from the front-end interface within a reasonable period (generally within 30 days), and thereafter delete or anonymize it from active systems and backups within a reasonable period (generally no more than 90 days).
  • Copies already held by others: Content that other users have already reposted, quoted, copied, or screenshotted, and content already indexed by search engines or third parties, is not subject to the above deletion.
  • Security and compliance exceptions: To prevent fraud and abuse, enforce the Terms and Conditions, handle appeals, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations (such as tax, audit, and evidence preservation), or respond to law enforcement requests, we may continue to retain specific data beyond the above periods, for example: reported or actioned content and related records, ban records, login and security logs, and transaction records. Materials reported to NCMEC as required by law will be preserved as required by law.
  • Backups: If deletion is temporarily not possible due to backup archiving or similar reasons, we will securely store and isolate the information to prevent further processing until deletion becomes possible.
  • Deletion or anonymization: When we no longer have a continuing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it.

8. How do we protect your information?

We are committed to protecting your personal information through a series of technical and organizational measures to ensure its confidentiality, integrity, and security. We have implemented the following industry-standard security practices:

  • Data encryption: We use the TLS 1.3 protocol to encrypt data transmission, protecting information during website, application, direct message, and payment processes; stored data uses AES-256 encryption to protect sensitive information on servers.
  • Access control: We implement strict access restrictions, allowing only trained authorized employees or necessary third parties to access data, and require multi-factor authentication. We use role-based access control (RBAC) systems to ensure data is processed only when necessary. We maintain additional approval and audit mechanisms for employee access to communications content such as direct messages.
  • Network security: We deploy firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and regular vulnerability scans to defend against hacker attacks, malware, and other threats. Our servers are hosted in data centers compliant with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 standards.
  • Account security tools: We provide features such as two-step verification, login alerts, and device management. Please set a strong and unique password and keep your credentials safe.
  • Employee training: Our employees regularly receive data protection and privacy training and are bound by internal policies that prohibit unauthorized disclosure or misuse of data.
  • Incident response: We have developed an incident response plan. In the event of a data breach or other security incident, we will quickly investigate, control the impact, and notify affected users and regulators in accordance with applicable law (such as within 72 hours), and conduct simulated exercises periodically.
  • Data minimization: We collect only the information necessary for the Services and regularly review data collection practices.

Although we have taken the above measures, internet transmission and information storage technology cannot guarantee 100% security. Hacker attacks, network crime, or unauthorized third parties may bypass security controls through advanced means. We cannot fully guarantee that your information will not be illegally accessed, stolen, or modified. Therefore, transmitting personal information through our Services carries certain risks. We recommend that you use the Services only in secure network environments (such as trusted Wi-Fi or devices), regularly update passwords, and use antivirus software.

If you discover any security issues (such as account anomalies or unauthorized use), please immediately contact us at support@skyforttech.top, and we will promptly take action (such as suspending the account and investigating the incident). To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by external factors (such as hacker attacks, network crime, or unauthorized third parties), but may, within the limits permitted by law, provide support to mitigate the impact.

9. Do we collect information from minors?

  • Children under 13: SkyBlog is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or the higher minimum age prescribed by the laws of your jurisdiction). We do not intentionally collect, solicit, or process their personal information, nor do we market or sell their personal information. We ask for your date of birth at registration to verify age.
  • Minors aged 13 to 17: Users who are at least 13 but under 18 years of age must use the Services with the knowledge and consent of their parents or legal guardians. We adopt stricter protective measures for this age group, including but not limited to: stricter default privacy settings, restricting unknown adults from initiating direct messages, not showing behavior-profile-based personalized advertising, and limiting the use and display of location information.
  • Discovery and handling: If we discover or suspect that we have collected personal information from users who do not meet the age requirement, we will immediately deactivate the relevant account and take reasonable measures to delete such data from our systems, including notifying third parties (such as payment processors) to delete any associated records. We may retain limited log data to comply with legal requirements (such as for audits or fraud prevention), but it will not be used for any other purpose.
  • Parents and guardians: If you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and believe your child has provided personal information to us, or wish to view or delete your child’s information, please contact us immediately at privacy@skyforttech.top, providing relevant details (such as account information and submission time), and we will promptly investigate and take action. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children’s online activities and use device settings or third-party tools to restrict access.
  • Compliance: We are committed to complying with relevant laws, including the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and state laws on online privacy and safety for minors, and regularly review our practices.

10. Your privacy rights

We are committed to protecting your privacy and granting you control over your personal information in accordance with applicable laws in your location (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its amendment the CPRA, other U.S. state privacy laws, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the UK GDPR).

10.2 Supplemental disclosures under U.S. state privacy laws (including California residents)

  • Categories of personal information collected in the past 12 months: Identifiers (name, username, email, IP address, device ID, advertising identifiers); customer records information; internet or other electronic network activity information; approximate geolocation; user content and communications content; social relationship information; inferences drawn from the above (such as interest preferences); commercial information (such as transaction records); audio, electronic, or visual information (photos, videos, and voice messages you upload).
  • Sources of collection, business purposes, and recipients of disclosure: See Sections 1, 2, and 4, respectively.
  • “Sale” and “sharing”: In the context of California law, “sharing” means disclosing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration; however, the use of third-party advertising and analytics technologies may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under applicable law. [Please confirm based on actual circumstances.] You may opt out through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” option on the settings page, or at privacy@skyforttech.top. We have no actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of users under 16 years of age.
  • Sensitive personal information: If you voluntarily provide account login credentials, precise location (with authorization), the content of direct messages, and similar information, its processing is limited to what is necessary to provide the Services, for security, and for compliance, and it is not used to infer characteristics or for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Authorized agents: You may authorize an agent to submit requests on your behalf, and we may require proof of written authorization and verification of your identity.
  • Right to appeal: If we deny your request, you may appeal the decision; if the appeal is not granted, you may submit a complaint to the attorney general’s office of your state.
  • California “Shine the Light”: California residents have the right to request, once a year, information about whether we disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
  • Nevada residents: You may submit a request to opt out of the sale of personal information at privacy@skyforttech.top.

In addition to the above rights, you may also have the right to restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your location.

10.4 How to exercise your rights

You may take action yourself through your account settings, or send an email to privacy@skyforttech.top, specifying the type of request (such as “delete data” or “opt out of marketing”) and providing identity information (such as username and registered email). We will provide an initial response within 30 days of receiving your request, and complete processing within the period prescribed by applicable law (generally 45 days; in complex situations, it may be extended as permitted by law, with advance notice to you). We may require identity verification (such as an email verification code).

10.5 Possible restrictions

  • Fraud prevention and security: To prevent fraud, malicious requests, or abuse of rights, we may reject obviously unreasonable or repeated requests, and will provide an explanation.
  • Legal obligations: Data that must be retained due to legal requirements (such as tax, audit, evidence preservation, and law enforcement assistance) cannot be deleted.
  • Technical restrictions: Backup systems may contain copies of data; we will isolate such data and explain to you the isolation measures and the estimated deletion time.
  • Rights of others: To protect the privacy, speech, and lawful interests of other users, we may be unable to fulfill requests that would disclose the personal information of others.
  • Third-party data: For information that has been shared with third parties, we will notify them to delete or update it, but cannot fully control their internal processes; please refer to their privacy policies.

11. “Do Not Track” and global privacy control signals

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature or setting that you can activate to indicate your privacy preference not to monitor and collect data about your online browsing activities. Currently, there is no finalized uniform technical standard for identifying and implementing DNT signals. Therefore, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. However, for opt-out preference signals recognized by law, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), to the extent required by applicable law, we will treat them as a valid request to opt out of the “sale” and “sharing” of personal information for that browser or device (and, if you are logged in, for your account). If a standard for online tracking that we must follow is adopted in the future, we will inform you of the relevant practices in the revised privacy policy.

12. International data transfers

Our servers and service providers are primarily located in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your location. For personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, where required by applicable law, we will adopt appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses).

13. Third-party links and services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services, and may also embed third-party content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and we recommend that you read their privacy policies before use. When you authorize a third-party application to access your account, its use of data is governed by its own policies.

14. Will this policy be updated?

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be marked with the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by posting a notice in a prominent position, through an in-app prompt, or by sending a notification directly to you; where the law requires consent, we will obtain your consent again. Your continued use of the Services indicates your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy regularly.
